Spike End of Life Notice
Published: 8/13/2026
Important: Spike Cloud services will be discontinued on Wednesday, February 10, 2027. Please read this notice in full and export your data before that date.
What is happening?
After careful consideration, ikeGPS has made the decision to discontinue the Spike product family, including Spike hardware, the Spike mobile app, and all Spike Cloud services. We understand this news is disappointing and we want to give you as much time as possible to plan accordingly. This notice provides full details on the timeline, what it means for your device, and the options available to you.
What is impacted?
-Spike hardware (all variants)
-Spike mobile app (iOS and Android)
-Spike Cloud (free accounts)
-Spike Pro Cloud (paid accounts)
Key Dates:
30-day last time buy window: 8/14/2026 to 9/13/2026
-Remaining Spike hardware is available for purchase at a discounted price during this 30-day window
-Price is $250/unit, buy one – get one free (automatic at checkout)
-All hardware sales during this period are final and exempt from our 30 day return policy
-Hardware purchased during this period does not include a warranty
-Hardware purchases during this window include access to the Spike mobile app and existing Spike Cloud accounts — new Spike Cloud accounts are not available
-After 9/13/2026 Spike hardware will no longer be available for purchase
Spike Cloud access ends: Wednesday, February 10, 2027
-New Spike Cloud sign-ups are disabled
-Existing Spike Cloud and Spike Pro Cloud accounts will remain fully accessible until Wednesday, February 10, 2027
-All Spike Cloud services will be permanently discontinued on Wednesday, February 10, 2027
Can I still use my Spike device?
Yes — your Spike hardware and mobile app will continue to function after Spike Cloud is discontinued. Here is what changes and what doesn’t:
What still works after Wednesday, February 10, 2027:
-Spike hardware device
-Spike mobile app (basic measurement functionality)
What stops working after Wednesday, February 10, 2027:
-Spike Cloud web application
-Spike Pro Cloud
-Cloud sync and storage
Mobile app availability: The Spike mobile app will remain available on the Apple App Store and Google Play after Spike Cloud is discontinued. However, after 2/10/2027 we will no longer provide support or updates to the app. Following this withdrawal of support Apple and Google will eventually remove inactive apps from their stores. Removing the app from the store will prevent new downloads but will not impact usage if you already have it installed on your device.
Saving Your Data Before Cloud Service Shutdown:
What do I need to do with my data?
If you have measurements, photos, or other data stored in Spike Cloud that you want to keep, you must export and save it before Wednesday, February 10, 2027. After this date all Spike Cloud data will be permanently deleted.
-You will need to save and download each sign by going to the Photo Measure screen > Measure > Report then Print or Download
-If you need assistance with data export, please contact our Support Team
Refunds:
Spike Pro Cloud annual subscribers
If you are paying for Spike Pro Cloud on an annual basis, we will issue a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of your subscription remaining after Wednesday, February 10, 2027. Refunds will be processed via the original payment method. We will be reaching out to customers shortly.
If your Spike Pro Cloud subscription ends before Wednesday, February 10, 2027 we will offer a complimentary extension until then so you have time to export your data from the cloud.
